Pramod joined MelJol in November 2014. He started as a volunteer in a youth organization and subsequently a field worker working with tribal community of Maharashtra state in India in 1982.
Since then Pramod has worked in the development sector dealing with various responsibilities and positions. With strong Training and Program Management background he has led number of projects and programs engaging with under privileged Communities, Youth and Children. He has represented respective organizations on National and international platforms.
Pramod has been member of the State Coordination Committees on Protection of Child Rights and of State Core Group Member for development of State Child Policy. Pramod is M.A. in Social Work with specialization in Urban and Rural Community Development from Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
Sangita Malshe, Deputy Executive Director – Maharashtra
Sangita joined MelJol in September 2013 as Dy. Director, Maharashtra Program. Her role involves providing strategic directions to Maharashtra program. Sangita started her career in development filed as a freelancer whereby she published several books on gender studies and occupational health. Prior to MelJol Sangita she has worked with Action Aid ensuring sustainability in livelihood programs in Maharashtra. In Action Aid Sangita also provided strategic guidance to partners and has closely worked with many government officials. In addition to this, Sangita has an extensive experience in the field of advocacy and research with Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Prayas. Sangita is M. A. in sociology.
Subrat is the Deputy Director for the National programme at MelJol. This is the second coming for Subrat at MelJol and his two stints could not have been better timed. In his first stint, he helped replicate the Maharashtra programme at a national level, and now, in his second stint since August 2012, he is managing the National Programme that he helped replicate. Subrat started his career in the development sector with the Center for Studies in Rural Development. Subrat worked as a visiting faculty and field work supervisor. Subrat has widespread experience of over 7 years working across academics, research and training, coordination & project management. He worked at Dr. Reddy’s Foundation with marginalized youth and empowered them with the necessary skills for a sustainable livelihood. He was responsible for the overall implementation of the Foundation’s projects in the state of Maharashtra. Subrat is a Diploma holder in Disaster Management and has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Pune University.
Sumathi Shriram is the Manager Finance &accounts; she joined Meljol in December 2012.Her role is to prepare and monitor the organization’s finances budgets, Grant proposal budgets.she develops standard operating policies for the organization with regards to finance, accounts, human resource, and administrative operations.Manage the finance and office administration department functions effectively and smoothly with the highest standards of service in line with standard operating policies.Prior to Meljol, she worked with Chartered Accountancy firms like Parekh Sharma & Associates, S A R A& Associates. She has completed her CA (inter) holds a Bcom as well as LLB Gen degree from Mumbai university.
